Components is proud to continue offering the original Superior Slide
Lock™ still proudly manufactured in the United States. Slide locks are
used to hold open the slide during the ejection process of the molding
cycle.
The simplicity of the slide lock design is its strength. Its holds the slide while seated in a pocket which protects its action from debris. Its flat surface contact area provides greater locking action and dependable operation when compared to ball or pin locking systems. The design also is very compact for the holding power offered.
Slide locks are available in three sizes/holding ratings – SLK-8A (8 lbs), SLK-25A (25 lbs), and SLK-50A (50lbs). Multiple slide locks can be combined for additional holding power. The SLK-25BLUE utilizes a blue die spring for additional slide retention and service life.
